Good to see them coming over - and about time too !
Though 2 games in the Pale and one down the road in Cork hardly constitutes a "tour of Ireland"....! German tourists do more of the country over a long weekend :D

Jeez - there's no pleasing Eircom League fans ! Celtic get beratted because "they're not Irish - they're a British team", whilst Hibs get berrated for having ignored their Irishness ! They just can't win with us lot ! Doubtless in 10 years time if Hibs did magically gain a lot of Irish support, we'd all be back with the "they're not Irish, they're British" jibes !
Anything that tries to narrow the gap between the Old Firm and the rest of the SPL can only be good for the game of football. If Hibs feel tapping their Irish roots will help them in their quest to do this, then fair enough. Old Firm domination is destroying the game of football in what was once one of its strongest bastions. And I say that as someone who was in Seville (i.e. I'm no Celtic-basher).

I'd they might bring a good few fans over with them. Wanting to immerse themselves in the culture of our country no doubt :D
If they come third they'll be in the UEFA cup won't they?

Ahh ... just to clear things up here .... The Hibees are British too. With them being from Scotland 'n'all they really dont have a choice in the matter, i mean you know the way Scotland is a fairly big part of Britian ... i mean they is just no getting away from it like !!!
Tell you what ... here is a map (http://www.maidenhead.net/where/uk.jpg) just to clear things up like !!

Thanks for your rudimentary geography lesson A Face. My profile at the top of each posting might have been a bit of a clue to the fact that I live in Britain, and should therefore have at least a vague notion of where everything is. But thanks again....
No-one's arguing that Hibs aren't a British team. But in the same breath as Eircom League fans slag off Celtic fans for supporting a British team, they also berate Hibs for attempting to tap into their Irish roots more. When teams in Scotland try to be Irish, we turn our noses up at them. And when they don't try to be Irish, we feel slighted. Contradiction surely....?

Steve, it wasn't for your benefit ... it was for all those sell-think fans, you know, them and their IQ, poor fellas

I should hope not ... they'd lose !!

What about the Scottish teams who try to be OIrish at the expense of being Scottish, i mean aren't they the worst .... no pride, no back bone .... not representing the people who pay at the gates every second week, trying to give up their identity for another in a different country.... aren't they the worst !! No character ... thats whats wrong with them.
