What the hell is that? (image on rte.ie/sport)

Couldn't figure out how to link the image to this thread, anyway.

On www.rte.ie/sport, they have a Latest News picture icon. It's all blue, with an image of an American football player on the left, a hockey player on the right.. but I can't for the life of me figure out what the image in the middle is supposed to be? Anyone make it out?
