Just been looking at the disallowed goal a few times, slowed it right down- Georgie wasn't offside when the ball was touched onto him. Unless he was offside when the ball was headed down, it was a very bad call by the linesman.

Flynnie was offside but not interferring with play .... ref obviously doesn't know how the offside rule works, then again though, they mightn't use the rule up in Scotland like !!

Not trying to be funny (and god knows I hate the refs and lino's in this league) but if you had to slow it right down to see it, must've been a hard one for the linesman?

And the directive handed down to referees and linesmen is to favour the attacker when things are dubious..... :ball:

I slowed it down a) because the camera angle wasn't great, nowhere near as good as the lino's anyway and b) because i wanted to be 100% sure before ranting about it! I can't see how he gave it offside- it looked fine to me on friay, and I'm even surer of it now. And as joesoap says, the attacker is meant to get the benefit

All due respect lads but can you not just let it go,It was a bad call by the linesman happens all the time at football matches,to all teams i've seen a lot worse offside decisions in my time.

Not gonna keep harping on about it, but only got to see it yesterday and it got me annoyed all over again! 3rd goal disallowed already this season

It's fairly standard - probably within the rules of thegame themselves. I used to use it to great effect when I was reffing in the UCD Superleague 'cos a) it gets you out of a hole while b) showing you know more about the rules than the person whining at you! :)
