Very disappointing - finals in Northern Ireland and all would have been an easy trip up the road to support them.

Still some hope - Serbia thrashed Albania so we need to win our last 2 games to have a chance.

It was a fairly strong side too, Randolph, O'Dea, O'Carroll, Keogh. McShane was suspended, is he back for the next game?

Today's match finished 1-1 and we can't qualify. If we can't beat Albania (a team that Serbia beat 7-1) we don't deserve to qualify. Its a pity though. I enjoyed watching us play in the U19's finals in recent years.

with all due respect to Shane Long, How in the name of jaysus can a player who can't get a game with cork city be playing for Ireland u-19's. So what level do the cork city reserves play at.I take it he is behind doyle, fenn, behan,o'callaghan in the pecking order, doesn't look like he'll get a game any time sopon either.

This mccaffrey is having a laugh, he is taking all the good work done by kerr and p!ssing it up against a wall.

Because he's good enough?!
He is behind Doyle, O'Flynn, Fenn and Behan in the pecking order for a place up front- all Irish U-21 internationals. The guy is only just 18 as well, so that might explain why he's not ready for the rigours of first team football at eircom League level. As for what level he currently plays at- Cork City don't have a reserve team, they have an U-21 team, like most eircom League sides, so he plays for them. Think before typing next time will ya

What level are the other u-19 players playing at? Reserve or youth football for S****horpe maybe?

O'Flynn, Doyle & Behan are all recent u-21 internationals plus we have Fenn also.

Ireland: Masterson (Millwall), Gibson (Man Utd), McShane (Man Utd), R Keogh (Stoke), Foley (Aston Villa); O’Brien (Bolton), Cregg (Arsenal), Morris (Leeds), Hayes (Reading), O’Carroll (Celtic). Subs: Keogh (S****horpe) for O’Carroll 57mins; Long (Cork City) for Hayes 75 mins.

Well Keogh's a 1st teamer at S****horpe. :)

Anyway, Ralph, that was a silly thing to say. A reserve team player in England has more right to a place in the squad than someone in Ireland? I know someone playing reserve team football at Derby and I would put my money on Long being better than him (even though I've never seen Long before).
