Ok we lost to Monaghan and didnt play great!!!!!!
I sit on the Jinks Ave stand right at pitch level and although the surface may look quite good from the new stand up high it is not when looked at from ground level.The ball is constantly bobbling away from players and before they can get in crosses they have to get the ball under cotrol and at that time they are closed down by defenders etc..
And the players have also said that the surface it poor to play on , anyone who went to Galway, or Cobh or Tolka would say we played great football and maybe it is because the home side attack more leaving gaps but all of these grtounds ahve a flat surface that suits our game....
So until something is doen on the showground pitch its a bit of a lottery
