I wouldn't call her totty, take a look at the pics, her face would probably collapse without the makeup. A very bizarre act.

Replace those 'w's with 'v's and you get the same thing in Croatian. ;)

The languages are actually pretty unalike. Slavic swears seem to be pretty constant though. The only Croatian guy I know looks like the boy we're sending to Eurosong only with bleached blone hair.

I haven't watched the film entirely, why do you call this porn ? Just a woman playing an instrument, or did I miss something by not watching the end ?
And if you think you've seen the worst porn possible: someone I know spams a messageboard with URLs, believe me, it can always get groser

Slightly off-topic: I lost my heart to Croatia. I am obsessed with the Far North ever since I was very young, but if there is one southern country that I would say can compete with the north, it's Croatia. While most parts of Spain and Italy and South-France are full of tourists and almost as western as Ireland or the UK, Croatia is not discovered to the full by mass tourism and kept its own identity. You got beaches just as great, amazing nature, but also folklore. Croatia is still Croatian, their cultural identity is practically left untouched by tourism. Extremely friendly people as well, I like their lifestyle: not much stress or hurry, trying to enjoy the simple pleasures of life to the full, and always open to socialise with new people visiting their country.
I would recommend Croatia to everyone who's into travelling. The Kvarner Islands are amazing, you got a deep blue sea and small not too crowdy beach ; just picture a small bay surrounded by hills... Blissful !

And Kerr's Tribe: maybe Croatian men are good looking, I have to trust you on your word on that one. I did appreciate the Croatian ladies a lot, some natural beauties with no shame for their bodies... ;) During my first trip to Croatia, I got fancied by three girls at once, English tourists though I expect when hearing their accent. As they seemed a bit younger than me, and as my father was near, I didn't give in to their charms...

Croatian music's very nice as well. If you're ever there, go to a local folk band playing authentic Croatian music. Not this totty playing some futuristic instrument, we're talking about authentic folk music, preferable in a bar where most people are locals. Excellent opportunity to discover the best of Croatian culture.

(KT trying to snap out of dream of Croatian men on the beach) :D

eh...i can't explain i can't swear on foot.ie!

ok, kurwa is a strong bad word, can mean f*ck/w**re/various comments like that, catch my drift?

gowno is sh!t

both Polish words, but very similar in other slavic languages as i found out when i said them in front of a lecturer who i did not know at the time was from the Czech Rep. :o :D

My boyfriend is Polish, his friends taught me all the swear words, so funny. Bloody difficult language!!!!

A friend of mine goes to Czech Republic several times a year, he has friends there and supports a local icehockey team. Unofficially though, he goes for the cheap beer, as he appears not to be very sober on the pics he brings home...

From him I learnt a term "Ceska holka dobra bolka" but I am not sure of the literate translation...

And what I should maybe mention as well: during that same Croatian holiday our hotel, the only hotel on that park of the island of Losinj, organised a "miss Punta" election (Punta was the hotel name) for all tourist girls to participate. There was a bikini round as well and I got a first row spot, which was very exciting at that age, as I was 16 and just discovered girls... Nice holiday memories yeah :)

On the way back to Belgium I stopped for two days Salzburg. Truely a magical city, the place is one big artwork. Every building in town's an old opera house, art store and similar places, and the city's surrounded by mountains. Salzburg goes into my "favourite city" competition with Venice and Paris as competitors.

The good old worryless days that will never come back, when life was full of promising future dreams... Melancholy :(

Funny I don't like Venice at all. I somehow managed to pay over 30 Euro for a 5 mins taxi ride from Marco Polo to near the train station where I had to cross many arched bridges with steps carrying 20kg of luggage while having to smell the poor smell of the river. From there I missed the next train due to the people at the desks taking over 5 mins to serve one person. See Venice isn't romantic for everyone. :p
