Used to use Lycos, but now it seems to have stopped doing free texts. Anyone know of any sites that let you send free text messages ? Is that SMS.ac thing any good, ive heard mixed reports on it, some people have said once you sign up they start sending you spam-text messages and it comes out of your credit, anyone on here use it and know if its ok ?
Please stay away from sms.ac!
They took 20 stg off my credit.
I've been getting spam mail from sms.ac invited to "friends network" sh!te for months now. I think must be spread via virus as friends name they using had never heard of the site.

What network are you on cfdh_edmundo? Both Vodafone and O2 give an enormous number of free texts every month and they work across all networks now. Dunno about Meteor.

You can send 3 free messages per day from oceanfree.net once you've registered. I just gave it a yahoo email address in case of spam but have never had any bother.

Im on Vodaphone pay as you go, I registered on O2's website a couple of years ago when I was interrailing, and got 20 free texts a month... if I go over 20 then I have to pay a bit (via the credit on my phone) per extra text. Most of the time thats enough, but it would be useful to have some more around May/June.

Vodafone give 300 free texts a month.Pretty sure that's only for contract, and he said he's pay as you go.

No, I'm a Ready to Go customer and get the 300 a month. I think its for every Vodafone customer.
