Ex-league star lands Castlebar post

Gavin Dykes, an FAI Cup-winning captain with Sligo Rovers and the former manager of Finn Harps and Derry City, has agreed to take over at Mayo League side Castlebar Celtic.
Dykes has been out of senior soccer since parting company with Derry last May.
He previously resigned from the hotseat at Finn Harps in 2001, before becoming assistant manager to Dermot Keely at both at Kildare County and Derry.
A strong defender in his playing days, Dykes enjoyed his most memorable afternoon when leading hometown club Sligo to the FAI Cup crown in 1994.
He subsequently joined Derry and helped the Candystripes to the League of Ireland crown in 1997.
The 37-year-old, who played almost 400 senior league games in a distinguished career, takes over at the helm of Castlebar with immediate effect, and was unveiled to the players and supporters of the club at a press conference at the Travellers Friend Hotel in the town on Tuesday night.
