Well the people that caused the trouble weren't even in the ground. At the time i understood that Derry City FC did everything in their power to prevent anything happening.

What i cant understand is ... the police escort ... what were they doing at the time ??

At least no one was hurt !!

The police didn't go into the Brandywell/Foyle road area as it would have provoked more violence. The Linfield fans were stuck in limbo between the private security firm employed around the ground and the PSNI who met them at the bridge.

Therein lies the problem......and not an easy one to solve.

As Harry Crumb said, it was all going so well until the last 5 minutes of e documentary, until the guys in the Celtic shirts (fact, before the usual apologists whinge) decided to add their tuppenceworth.
