View Full Version : What a load of RUBBISH!

We have now scored 1 goal in SEVEN home matches. ONE goal. Id imagine we have only managed about 8-9 shots on target in the same amount of time. Why is that happening? is it because the players arent good enough, or is it because we have have a $hit manager? .

And any Murphy in people can now take a running fcuk up themselves in saying he is doing a good job. Fact odf the matter is, is that he isnt doing any job. Our tactics were the same today as they have been for the last god knows how long. And no doubt the gob$hite will be looking for excuses and saying that the ref was bad etc, and there were too may off sides. Well liam, If your tactics didnt involve Hoofing the ball upfield ata ll times, amybe there would be less off sides.

Its only a mystery to me how we were in contention for the league up to a few weeks ago. The way we are playing at present we are relegation material.

wasnt at the game today due to work commitments so cant comment on todays tactics but city have been hoofing ever b4 murphy took over lets face it dave barry had perfected the art of hoofing in his time as manager so obviously the top clubs have tactics to overcome this.has murphy the management skills to change around his tactics

We lack a second central midfielder besides O'Grady hence the need to hoof it.

It has never worked for City, it still doesn't and it never will.

If we can see that...but why bother asking eh?

According to Brian Kerr we also rely on set pieces to score???

Gary

Well Niamh, our last home goal was from a corner. And our only shot on target today was from an Ollie free kick, so Id say he is onto something there. We are crap. its simple as that.

why was hartigan not playing. we badly missed him today. he is the only player capable of scoring from open play.

Im really beginning to believe that Goalside has been going to see a different Cork City play who also have a player called Noel Hartigan who is wonderful and a manager called Liam Murphy who knows what he is talking about..... :p

ok. thanks. still i believe hartigan is the one player who can save city if only murphy would play him. murphy believes in him also but wont play him beacuse of the fans giving him abuse. i hope you are not one of them citygirl.

NO WAY!!! I dont agree with shouting abuse at players at the matches. Its one thing saying it to ure friends and on a message board but theres no need for it at matches.I dont think Hartigan is the best of players but there is no need for the **** he has to listen too.I would hate to have to come and play and get a load of stick the way the lads do.Anyway......I voice my opinion on this message board NOT by shouting abuse at players!

Hartigan might have scored goals- yes.
Hartigan is a better defender than striker- yes.
Maybe he is as good as we have- possible.
Murphy's tactics suit him better, so of course he's scored more- yes.

Well as it's not rocket science, and Gunther works in college, and it's all so simple, why is LM making such a complete b*lls of the job??........... :(

whilst he does not win many headers he does not need to. most of his goals are scored from the boot. i repeat - he is the only player who seems to be able to score. no need for one liner answer. explain why mulligan was brought on as sub last sunday instead hartigan. mulligan missed a real sitter which hartigan would have put away.

By saying he doesn't win many headers, goalside, you are confirming that Murphy's tactics are brutal. Murphy plays him as a target man to win headers!

murphys plan is to confuse the opposition. it takes two players to mark hartigan but its obvious hartigan is a playmaker.not a targetman. obviously the fans are confused as well by this but dont blame murphys tactics.
