Lads,
What we really need for the next home game is a bit of singing and chanting. Are there lads on here who are willing to get it going - get involved. The best thing would be to meet in the Shed - maybe behind the goal and start it off. Anyone got access to a drum? That would be a good addition.
The SC lads I presume will be organising whatever they organise so we need non-SC committee members to start this off. I know when we go to away matches we sing but we need that at home. :ball:

By the way - where's the Steering Wheel?
Its in the Roxboro shopping complex next to the X-tra Vision about five minutes walk from the ground. Its known for its kareoke nights and tough clientele :D I've no problem with the wheel myself but may i suggest the Spotted Dog in Janesboro as a more neutral place for Limerick fans to get together before the games if some people don't fancy it.

Quite a few of us stand off to the side of the pitch though and don't go near the shed (you may have noticed us/laughed at us getting soaked during the Kilkenny game) so you'll have to get the daytripper supporters to singalong with you. The place does need more atmosphere though, the crowd only ever come alive when we have scored, if I want that I'll just go to a Arsenal, Chelsea or United home game!

I know that lot of the regulars populate the sideline thats the whole point trying to coax ye into the shed. Go on, one night only, give it a try :D

I always liked the 'Celery' chant the first time I was told of it. Its pointless, confusing and perfect to get the crowd going. I think the few of us at the sideline should start singing that to get the shed going next Friday.

FFS lads just as we are getting the crowds back we don't wanna frighten em off again by singing sh!te like this. If fans wanna chant they'll chant spontaneously anything thats planned will die on its ar$e. The last chant i remember in Hogan Park was when Albert Finnin hit a 94 min equaliser versus Cobh around the time we got big crowds against Dundalk in the FAI cup. We spontaneously chanted "we love you Limerick we do"

Wow - and you came up with that on the spot like?
These are not meant as chants to sing on Friday night - do you think we are going to hand out a hymn sheet? Its a joke thing - it was done for a fanzine (but never used) which is a humourous mag. Jaysus, some people.
To be honest I don't care what we sing - but its better to try and do something than have to wait for a 'spontaneous' burst next time we score a 94th minute winner.

Ye wear blue,ye wear white...year still seriously fcukin sh1te!!! :D :D
Brilliant Ramblers - now if only you could get an original thought that would be great. (I won't even mention the spelling - you obviously haven't got to that in school yet.)
And I just figured out why there is never chanting at Colmans - even though you are 'top of the league'. Voices not broken yet, no?

In fairness, all songs come from somewhere. Some of those are a bit on the dodgy side, but in my experience some of the corniest, dodgiest sounding songs can raise a good laugh and really improve the atmosphere. Building an atmosphere takes work, but its well worth it.
