Ireland U-21 manager Stephen Kenny is planning on bringing the best young talent in the League of Ireland together for a training camp with a view to assessing his options ahead of the start of European qualifying in March.

Who are the potential home based U21 players that could be called up from your club?

Let's start a list!

Neil Farrugia should be a cert

Conor Davis and Liam Scales? Hard to judge based on First Division of course

Scales certainly did his chances no harm with an excellent display in the cup semi final in Oriel

I think SK name checked both Scales and Farrugia in an Ireland U21 context

He tried to sign Will Fitzgerald from us before he left Dundalk so he'll get a look I'd imagine.

Sam Todd at Harps probably the only one really in with any sort of a chance of being looked at.

Kenny supposedly a fan of his already.

as for us i know he is fierce young at 18 but Aodh Dervin is the best home based talent I have seen in years since Sean Prunty. If he doenst make the under 21s he has to make the under 19s. Aodh has everything that you want in a midfielder- he may be small in stature and size but he makes up for it in his bite and tenacity in the midfield. He reminds me of Dean Fitzgerald. He also comes up with the odd spectacular goal or two and is the chief reason why so many locals are coming out to games!

McGrath would be the obvious one from Dundalk, assuming he's eligible for the next campaign. The great thing about having a manager from the league in charge of the 21s is he'll have knowledge of every promising player, either from playing them or scouting.

From Rovers, Clarke would be the clear frontrunner assuming he's fit, and then you'd hope Bolger is at the level he can step up. Maybe Bazunu will be fast-tracked too.
