Hi

I'm working on the Dundalk FC programme and I'm looking Limerick pen pics or any other up to date info on the club. Is there any website out there with any up to date info? Do the club even have a website?

Cheers for any help,

Sean

Ya the Shamrock Rovers Ultras are a real bunch of nerds  I withdraw my river remark it was made in anger. Just don't like the sc being bad-mouthed in any way when such hard work was done by them to promote the club last year and not a jot done by the board, totally inept chairman included ;)

dont know about rovers sc never even seen them i was talking about the lim sc who i see at every game . :D

see you talk about the hard work done by ye to promote the club , then say the board did nothing !
but that is coz you were nt involved in the board so you dont know about all the work that goes in to the club behind the scene (like sponsers team busses wages etc )
,just as im not involved in the sc ,so to me it may seems like ye have really done nothing but make a fanzine and organise a few buses to away games .(of corse i do know ye do much more than this but it is used to illustrate my point that if your not involved it may seem like they are doing nothing ) .

ive no interest in a they did or did nt do this disscussion about boards its been done to death .but i dont like them being given a hard time they did there best and after all lim did win a cup and get into a playoff place under them .plus they did find the new investors and have left the club in a much better possition than fr joe left it in (completly broke and with no pitch ).

behind the scene (like sponsers team busses wages etc ).

There weren't sponsors (we had no programme most of the time). There were no team busses (players drove themselves - the exception was the play-off game in Derry) and wages, well....

What sort of point do you make if you know the SC did more but you say that those not involved may not see it - are you involved? you saw it. I am not invovled and I saw it. Player of the month/season etc awards. The fanzine was more than the club produced. The SC also sold merchandise.

they did there best

Fair enough

they did find the new investors ....and have left the club in a much better possition than fr joe left it in (completly broke and with no pitch ).

At the end of last season there was no pitch and according to teh departing adminsitration it was broke too. How is that a better position. I think it is stretching it a bit for the last administraiton to take credit for finding new investors.

i know the sc did more i just dont know what excatly it was(of coarse they did some thing ) but i would nt be so quick to say that they did nothing just because i have nt heard about it . i know im not explaining myself too well here but hope fully you understand my point .

i dont know what you mean by there wasnt sponsers ? charlotte quay pharmacy !!its on the back of my jackets and front of all my kits !!
wages were allways paid maybe not on time but the players did get them

and the last point as stretched as it may seem the old board did find the new investors that is how investors they were looking for years for money to come into the club but investors just were nt there untill last year .

well for a start there was one sponsor (why was brought in by someone on the committee and then who was excluded from ' the almighty three' and a few small individuals who contributed including the SC. Wages were always paid???? late...most of the time and tax was never paid hence the new owners having to fork out 40 Gs to get a clear tax cert for the licence at the start of the year. It was the shoved aside few who put the new investors in touch with the the committee, and it is the shoved aside few who have re emmerged at teh top again. Noel Hanley (club sec) Pat Crosse (club security) Billy Kinnane (youth dev off)

I see what your saying anto but its not all strawberries and icecream when it comes to the previous administration.

i know all those guys for a long time now, they were there when limerick home pitch was lost , when the club house wasnt insured and got burnt down which really killed the club (not having a go its not my style but just to point out every one makes mistakes no one is perfect not the new administration or any of the old ones either ), dont forget ive been a lim supporter for over 15 years myself (but im still only 25 !), i was there when big sam , noel king ,dav o connell were in charge so im not a new comer to the scene :)

im not trying to say it was all good or even done the right way but they tried there best and had only the clubs best intentions at heart , ill allways stick up for some one that puts in the effort even if the end result isnt great ( after all im a zinedine kilbane fan ! :D cant fault his effort but the end result isnt allways the best )
i just dont like any aspect of the club being put down past present or future so id like all this (some times) unfair commentary on people by limerick fans to stop .
