Saw a post on the Waterford website re the 11 a side team of the week.

It had ......... wait for it ........... 5 Drogheda players in it even though they lost their first game at home to Derry and beat UCD in their second match.

$hels (of course) got 3 players.

Yet we only had Behan in the line up.

No -
Gamble,
Kearney,
Georgie,

A case of "Out of sight, out of mind" methinks.

Or else Noel King picks this team.

Can you believe 5 players from Drogs :o

WHAT A FARCE

Well going by the ratings that some Cork City posters were giving after the Bray match it is strange that even Behan made the team.

Do you realise the concept of a team of the week? Why are you bringing up Droghedas first game? It was based soley on the second round league fixtures, so the Cork players who excelled themselves by drawing at home to Bray were somehow omitted.

OK - This weeks team should be interesting so:

City 1-0 Shels
Longford 0-1 City

Reckon it could read.......

Devine, Horgan, Murray, Bennett, Murphy, Woods, Gamble, O'Callaghan, Kearney, Behan with Fenn and Doyle tying for the 11th spot.

That is of course unless King is picking the team.......!

Manager of the week........let me think.......oh yeah, Richardson.

dan connor pulled of a great double save but that was it not sure why he's in, Malcolm was a rock at the back cud prove to be one of the signings of the season, webb dominated from the word go, was absolutley superb nice to see a good full back at drogheda again, sami ristilia good finish cud well have had another and ran the game, declan 'fabio' o brien not really sure he had a good game and caused ucd problems but wudnt have thought he was one of the two best strikers in the league last week.

I take it so De Town, that you're happy enough with the other 10 players being in the Team :D

Thanks for the vote of confidence. We just need to work on Dan and we'll give you a call, say, next week ;)

NEWSFLASH: SHELS BRIBE SCANDAL
News coming in that Slash/ED has been charged with bribing Setanta Sports. The story goes that he asked executives in the TV company to make City's 1-0 over Shels win on Monday night null and void.

City sources say "they don't care as they will still get 9 points from their remaining 3 games making this underhanded act irrellevant anyway" ;) :D

No I'm just saying that if Dan Murray gets into any team of the season this year its a disgrace coz he's crap. By far the worst City player tonight, its just a pity we couldnt take advantage of it

It's all a mass conspiracy against Cork, now that we've removed Dolan there's nothing that can stop us!

Nearly every CCFC fan would agree with ya! The only reason he's still in the team is cause we have nobody else. When derek Coughlan regains fitness, Dan will be straight out of the team!

The only thing Murray has going for him is that he is the Captain and that managers usually stick with their captains. Murray cant actually kick a ball properly, he's just a hoofer and not a very good hoofer at that :p
