The Scottish club that are trailing Ollie, who will be at the Cross on Sunday are Airdrie, would that be a step up or down for the starved winger??

Where did you hear that information? If its through and if Ollie plays to his potential, of-course Airdrie will sign him! However I think it would be a bad move for Ollie to go there. The only reason he might be interested is if he was offered more money, however I would think the likes of Shels would beat their offer.

It makes me sick to think that we cannot compete with the likes of Airdrie. They have a 10,000 seater stadium, club shop, bar and restaraunt. They have an average attendance of about 5,000 and were almost liquidated during last summer. This in a town with
Airdrie : population 36.000
Cork: population 136,000
Why cannot CCFC get the same attendances?
Why is there not a club bar and shop to bring money into the club?
I do not want to always bang on about the board, but f*ck it, this club is not being pushed or sold to the people of Cork.
We need someone to market the club and really get the people of Cork interested.
We could be double champions every year !!!
It puts me in p*ssed off f*cking humour to hear that the likes of f*cking Airdrie is possibly more attractive than CCFC......

Would people prefer Ollie to go abroad or keep his talent in the league with someone like $hel$?

Hard choice.

btw what division are Airdie in? Scottish 1st?

For the sake of the league on a whole I would like to see Ollie stay in Ireland. However it would be easy watching him in a Shels jersey next season.

Better Scotland than another EL team for obvious reasons

Monaghan are already relegated so only away cup games to them would have Ollie up there.

Join a crap team just promoted from a crap league to a another crap two team league and finish 60+ points off the top* with no chance of playing in Europe or play with Shels and possibly going a few rounds in the Champions League Qualifiers. Also having a good shot at winning all or any of the domestic prizes.

What would you pick?

*10 of the 12 teams in the Bank of Scotland Scottish Premier League are 30+ off the top.

Personally I doubt that very much. Average SPL wage might be that but you including the likes of Larsson then.

If Airdrie do decide to offer Ollie a contract, he will definately not be getting anymore than Shels would be offering i.e. £1,200 approx.

Asa much as I hate players leaning the eL to go play in another bad league, I would HATE to see Ollie in another eL team. He would absolutely crucify us every time we play his team.

Why? because our tactics havent changed since before he arrived, so he'd defo know the plan.

Thats nit picking Peader, the point i was making is that the SPL has better standards, better players, better wages, better crowds(in general) and a player like Ollie could do well there and maybe go higer again like the likes of Caniggia and Latapy did when they originally joined smaller teams in Scotland. I know Ollie isnt of their stature but you never know how things could go for him.

What would I pick?

The SPL anyday as the EL is unfortunately a shambles. And that is coming from a huge EL fan and a huge City fan for over years. hand on heart.
