IS HE WORTH IT?

He's worth every penny of it. He will guarantee any team at least 20-30 goals a season. CCFC would love to have a striker of his skill and goalscoring feats.

In terms of European ambition then hes worth it.

Over the years eL teams have done well to hold opposition in european competition but have lacked the fire power up front.

eL defenders are the strongest part of the league as tend to be no nonesense hoofers when they under pressure.

hats off to them, if the bigger clubs followed their lead the league would be better for it

That, my friend, is one of the most stupidest comments I have ever encountered on a message board (and my lord have I read a few, you should check out the 'Casuals' MB).
"surely a striker of his so called quality should score every penalty he takes" Every player at some point during their career, regardless of talent or skill, will miss a peno. Sh!t happens like.
And it wasn't the worst penalty in the world either, it was actually a good save. So there.

I don't know about that, we've easily the largest support in Dublin. I think the hope is the players fund, the extra few quid on the entrance fee and (hopefully) continued success in Europe will help pay for it.
