Harry McCue died earlier this week. He played for Limerick when we won the league in 1960.

From eleven-a-side.com:

The League of Ireland suffered a great loss with the news of the death of one of its great characters, Harry McCue following a long illness. He was 78.

Harry, a tough tackling centre half throughout the 50’s and 60’s, enjoyed success as both a player and manager. He amassed a number of amateur caps whilst playing for Bohemians and was part of the Limerick team which captured the League title in the 1959/60 season.

Harry also enjoyed spells as manager of Home Farm, Bray Wanderers, St. Patricks Athletic and Garda and was a founding member of the PFA. His loss will be felt throughout Irish soccer circles.
