Draw for the out of town stages is out.

Potential for some big games if results go a certain way such as:

Killarney Celtic Vs Balla.
Peake Villa Vs Regional.
Abbeyfeale United Vs Carrick United.

Big win for St Michael's in Tipperary today. Clonmel Town very poor on the day. Both teams missing players.

Saturday 26th January:

Interesting to see Avondale make handy work of Glen Celtic. MJP is a very strong division this year.

Cork sides haven't made much of an impression in the MJC in recent times. Winnable tie for Avondale in next round, away to Pearse Celtic or Prospect. Notable win for Lakewood also today.

Not a shock in the slightest, glen celtic are as average as they come and wouldnt be a top 10 aul team where as avondale are the top junior league team

your quiet intitled to your opinion id respect it a lot more if we knew the quailty of the critic like yourself...a bit harsh on the glen and best of luck to a good avondale side no complaints from the glen ..as for average there,s a lot of quality in that side now and lined up for next season ..still building and will bounce back from this.

Doubt that, not Pearse Celtics fault match was abandoned, match will still be in Cork.

Avondale were well deserved winners against the glen. Not sure who was worse in the second half the Glen or the refs couldn’t pick a call between the 3 of them. The glen deservedly had a man dismissed for consecutive fouling and another arguably harsh red for mouthing

I heard Prospect have home advantage for replay. It wasn't their fault either.

Took in this game yesterday, Pearse did get the rub of the green alright. Goal looked like a clear push from up on the hill, the linesman had to see it but the goal stood. Prospect lost the heads and finished with 9. Poor game all in all

That seems like a very fair account, Prospect losing the heads is classic Limerick City in fairness.

Bit harsh no? Away from home and getting screwed by the officials? Even the great Sheriff, Pike, Janesboro, Newmarket, Michaels teams lose the head in those circumstances.

Is it fair to say Killarney Celtic have tailed off a bit this year?

Knocked out of the Munster Junior at home to Balla on pens in the last 32.
Whacked at home to Regional in the Last 64 of the FAI.
Beaten in the semis of the Munster Champions Trophy away to Newmarket (not a bad result considering the competition).

I'm not trying to rag on Killarney (I've literally zero reason to) but I'm sure you see my point?

Some Quarter finals on this weekened
Carrick Utd “A” v Pike Rvs Sunday 2pm

Carrick up against it even at home, a very young team that has done very well to get to the last 8. Pike no strangers to Carrick and were down at the same stage last year to face the B team to win in last minute of extra time. With the likes of Mcgann and Grant should have toom uch fire power. i'm hoping for smash and grab

Pike are a good side but beatable on any given day
Hibs had some very dubious decisions go against them the last day
I'll go 2 1 Carrick

St Micks having some season. Already have Tipp South title and Munster Champions Trophy in the bag, FAI Junior Cup finalists and now into the Munster Junior Cup final v Pike. That should be a cracking game.

Sudden death pens hides the fact St.mics by far the better team, hard to understand how Pikes late leveller stood as it was a clear foul on keeper.Pike threw it away in the pens to be fair, had 3 chances to win it.Anyone know why Pike manager had a go at ref at fulltime ?

Pike are very poor. Very little to offer up front. A poor enough game. Michaels the better team but pike really should have won that shoot out

Taught Pike setled better and Borris was unlucky not to score. Saints came into the game after 15 minutes and played some good football especially for rest of 1st half. At times Pike could not get near them. Overall expected more from Pike and Grant and Borris never influenced the game. Saints looked fitter and sharper. Big talking point was the equaliser and think officials missed the foul on the keeper. Game then turned into a battle and Pike were more streetwise and upset Saints but still only looked dangerous from dead balls and corners. Taught referee could have been stronger. Taught Jason Mullins could have got the line and I think that's what managers were talking to referee about at the end of 90 minutes. Pike had three penalties to win in the shootout so Saints will be delighted to come away with victory. Pike are very resilient and even though they were outplayed in my opinion could have won in shootout.
