Isn't he a central midfielder? Not good enough for Ireland but good luck to him.

Different James O'Conner, he's at West Brom, currently on loan at Burnley - from soccerbase (http://www.soccerbase.com/players_details.sd?playerid=14886)

Think this O’Connor is a young lad on loan from Aston Villa.

West Brom boss Gary Megson has made James O'Connor his second signing of the summer after landing the Stoke midfielder for around £500,000.

The 23-year-old, who played under Megson when the flame-haired chief was in charge at Stoke, has signed a three-year deal and will be unveiled at The Hawthorns on Friday.

O'Connor will join the rest of the squad for training and take part in their pre-season trip to Denmark - but the two clubs are still haggling over the final transfer fee.

It is believed the total package will cost the Baggies £500,000.

O'Connor is expected to be unvieled at a press conference this afternoon along with Crewe striker Rob Hulse.
