Holt saves Vikings’ blushes


Kilkenny City 2-2 Dublin City
A second half brace from winter signing Michael Holt helped Dublin City come from two goals down and claim a point in an entertaining First Division clash at Buckley Park on Saturday night.

The former St Patrick’s Athletic man was signed by Dermot Keely from Derry City during the off-season, and he made an instant return for the Vikings against Kilkenny.

Vikings battle back in Kilkenny

Pat Scully seemed to have masterminded a shock in his first game in charge of Kilkenny City, but after leading 2-0 against promotion favourites Dublin City, they had to settle for a 2-2 draw.

Dave Maher fired Kilkenny ahead after 35 minutes. A well worked free-kick from Mark Dempsey was headed down by Scully and Maher fired home.
Dempsey was again the playmaker for Maher's second, four minutes into the second period.

So Kilkenny fans who were at this .... what did you make of Pat Scully and the start to the season ??

That is a fairly good start considering that Dub City just came down from the premier division.
