i dont know how ye guys are having a poor season.
I mean you beat the living dailights out of us(cork city) on the first day of the season!
whats after going wrong?
with a guys like Kirby and Levine you should be set up for another good deason. Is it the fact that the Manager went or was that just a part of it?

With all due respect to Stephen Kenny and what he achieved with Longford, we are only in the same position as we were when he left. I personally think that the addition of big name players and the higher wages they are on has eroded the team spirit. I would also say that the players may have got complacent, particularly after the cup run last season, the euro games and the demolition of cork at the start of the season....

Digger O'Brien eminated those exact sentiments on an article on the programme... Fair play to Digger for clarifying a few issues and letting the fans know the position... We're still worried about key players... But we should be ok..

I'd like to think that what Digger is saying is 100% true, but i cant see it. He's doing his best to paper over the cracks that are inevitably appearing when players arn't sure of their futures. There is no doubt whatsoever that Lawlor wants to establish his own squad, as any manager would. This will involve serious transfer dealings as soon as the season ends.

It will be a much changed squad that lines out for the first game of next season.
