That Paudie O'Connor lad from Limerick appears to be progressing nicely at Leeds. But there's a little bit of speculation here that he's slightly further down the ranks than he may like to be: http://www.hitc.com/en-gb/2018/01/02/what-does-leeds-uniteds-reported-move-for-aapo-halme-mean-for-pa/

I suppose it's not ideal for us either to have himself and Shaughnessy at the same club and position and similar age. Paudie is very young though. Let's see how the rest of the season pans out and there might be a loan move next season.
Starts today at CB for Leeds. Well done to the lad.

Leeds manager on Paudies debut, seems he did well, particular mention of the benefit of having that senior LOI experience under his belt prior to joining them.

O'Shaughnessy dropped out of the first team picture though?

Yes, injured since a game at the end of January, from what I read, he's not expected back this season.

Scored an OG at the weekend but looking at a few Leeds forums they seem to have been happy enough at his overall performance with some saying he'll be a consistent starter next season.

A new two year contract at Leeds was followed by a season long loan to Blackpool in L1 where he has started both league matches, and not tonights league cup game, although he did come on late on.

Paudie scored for Blackpool away to Arsenal last night, but was also sent off (a bit harshly I thought) for a cynical hack as Arsenal tried to counter.

I was reading the match report in The Times this morning. He scored with one header and came close with another. They said the red card was probably harsh but couldn't be considered wrong.

It was a bit of a hack, and and also cynically stopped a break.

Both of those things would have earned a yellow even without the other element, so...more of a general refereeing question here - can refs just add them up and award a straight red for that?

Another Irish centre half in League One as he's joined Lincoln City from Bradford.

Scored for Lincoln City, away to Bristol City, in the EFL Cup. Sean Roughan also started for Lincoln. Mark Sykes started for Bristol City but was substituted at half-time.
