I've just logged on at home for the first time in awhile and I keep getting Messenger Service pop ups telling me I need to download a patch from www.updatenow.org?
Sounds v dodgy to me but am just slightly clueless when it comes to things in computer world.
Anyone want to offer some wisdom? And before you ask my Virus software has expired...

Never heard of it so it could be dodgy.. If your not sure don't do it.. go to the microsoft site and see can you find the patch they are saying to download and do it from there if necessary
They don't even say what the problem is exactly... :o

Thanks Adam. That would be the last thing I'd have thought of doing!

Just disable Messenger. It's only useful on corporate networks, and it's rarely even used there. You'll find plenty of instructions on the search results above.
