There may be a thread on this already but does anyone have the ticket prices for each club this season?

I was at Drogheda v Athlone last weekend and they had kept their Premier Division prices.

€20 for the stand and €15 for the terrace for adults.

€12 in to UCD which is the only other ground I’ve been to.

I always thought it was 15quid in the top flight and 10 quid for the first .scandalous price for tolka park.

Good stuff from Limerick there in relation to their pricing strategy. I go down there for a few games per season in recent years and this will encourage me to do the same this season. The price elasticity of demand for going to watch Shelbourne must be less than 1 (i.e. inelastic) for them to be charging 15 euro into Tolka. I doubt this is true.

Wait til ye go up to Drogheda and you can pay €20 in to the stand!

i thought Limerick's stand was actually €20 but it seems it's €18. Does that mean Drogheda is the most expensive stand in the league?

What is it in to the stand in Oriel?

I thought the Division 1 standard was €12 now but I guess it's up to each club.

18 euro into Limericks away end stand. Shocking. Too expensive for our league imo.

to

€12 adult
€8 concession
€5 child

There is a €25 child season ticket.

Was always €15 into our stand. New price structure has come in to push people into pre-purchasing online.

A lot down here not happy with it but I’ve €6 extra in my pocket so far his season. €12, €12 and €15 for the 3 homegames in the stand.

Yeah, not a bad deal at all for home fans. Online option not available to away fans though.

Wasn’t sure what the story was there. Cork were given an allocation of tickets during the week for the stand. Were they €18?

Yep, 18

AFAIK it is a requirement for tickets to be available at the same price to away fans as what home fans can buy for.

This does not appear to be the case here. At a minimum visiting clubs should raise this with Limerick and/or the FAI and clarify for their supporters.

Is there any obvious reason why Cork fans were obliged to pay €18 and could not buy online for €15?

Jofspring

I agree, Away fans should be €15 if they buy early and €18 if it’s on the night.

actually when I think of it JC I remember in the mid noughties I refused to go into the stand there as it was way too expensive. The price I reckon back then was the exact same! good call btw!

I used to much prefer the away terrace in United Park if we had any kind of numbers, the low roof used to help create a great noise. I only went into the stand once or twice. The cup semi final replay up there in ‘04 will always be a special night. As was the ‘0-5 in the O2 Park’ night.

No you don’t - if you always spent €15, and are still spending €15, then you haven’t saved any money.
I hate that clubs and franchises do this ‘punishment’ pricing - Connacht Rubgy introduced a higher ticket price on match day a few seasons ago, and I haven’t been to a game since with my kids. When you have a young family, you can’t always pre-plan for a game, and punishing ‘walk-ups’ just turns people away.

15 at Waterford. 5 for children and I think it is 10 for Oaps and students.

Home fans can save money compared to last year on category B games. Last year they would have paid 15 for those, now if they buy in advance they pay 12.

But it’s not “punishing walk-ups” it’s rewarding customers who pre-book.

I think this is a really good idea. As well as getting people to commit earlier to going to the game it should also help with queues on match night.

The fact Cork fans were charged €18 in to the away stand seems wrong though. That stand can hardly be compared to the main stand. And there should be an away “terrace” option available if that is the case.

There was the terrace option for away fans too, but at full price, not the discounted rate

€15 in to Jodi. Can’t remember if Des Kelly is still less. Used to be €12 when it was open to home supporters.

But they're not still always paying 15 quid, that's the point. It's not punishing pay on the gate fans it's rewarding those who by early, they haven't increased the at the gate prices they've dropped the pre purchase prices.

they haven't increased the at the gate prices they've dropped the pre purchase prices.

In Limerick's case they have done both.

It used to be simply €15 for every game. We now have Category A and B games, with tickets bought on the day costing €18 and €15 respectively, and €15 and €12 if bought in advance.

It should certainly be the the same for away fans though.

I bought mine the previous Monday, at City v Hoops.
I had to pay full whack (€18).
Online option wasn't given to away fans. So despite paying early we got no reduction on the ticket price.

yeah I get that but once you bring in category A and B you were going to get that, I was taking it as if they just introduced A and B match pricing with no discount for buying early they would have gone 20 quid and 15 quid respectively, a bit of an assumption but I'd be fairly confident in saying that's what would have happened. Even with the stepped pricing they could have easily gone B costing 18 and 15 and A costing 20 and 17, ie starting from the same base as last year, but instead they put the minimum cost down. That's my thinking behind thinking its a rewarding pricing system and not a punishment one anyway.

Away fans are a different kettle of fish I was just talking about home fans pricing, away fans should really be given the option of the discounted tickets, what that not being available is down to I don't know so I'm hesitant to comment on it given the past goings on on this site concerning the club

Did you but it online then? Or buy an actual paper ticket?

I have a season ticket so don't buy matchday tickets, but people are using 'in advance' and 'online' interchangeably here, but maybe they aren't.

Did Cork fans check online and not see any discounted tickets available?

EDIT: Sorry, I see all this was discussed on the previous page.

Yes I do.

For example last year if the games were the same sequence I would have spent €45 for the 3 Home games so far. This year for the three home games I have spent €39.

Due to having two Cat A games within a few days Limerick are leaving the walk up price for tomorrow night at €15 for stand and €12 for terrace.

Nice to see a club acknowledging the financial impact of two games in quick succession on fans, I'd like to see more clubs adjust prices for situations like that.

Local politics. Huge resentment in the town towards the club unfortunately.

Noticed that alright. We got a great welcome in the town as away supporters afterwards. Shame really, it's easily one of my favourite away trips.

yeah when I was there last season I asked that same question. I notice a lot of their ex players are playing for their other team Cobh Wanderers. I think they get better crowds too in the MSL . its an awful shame as its one of my favourite trips!
