quotes from Mick in his press conference yesterday, so he won't go straight into the first team, but we could see him before the end of the season

"no-brain"

That's our Barry!

He is young and athletic and game, with good pace, but extremely raw. Desperately needs good coaching on his positioning and decision-making.

I was impressed with Cotter when I saw him playing at RB against Galway United last season.
Had a look on the Limerick sub-forum on here and most Limerick fans didn't rate him for some reason.

Fair play to Mick has been great at bringing through Irish players with his club teams and giving them opportunities.

He really does see the value in bringing in Irish players both young and old. He had Paul Green, Jay Tabb and Jon Douglas doing a job for him in their later years, along with the younger players he brings in from the LOI. Any word on Adam McDonnell making the breakthrough? I know he impressed on loan to Aldershot and was called back but has been confined to the bench, from what I can see.

And Stephen Gleeson actually followed in that long line of Irish central midfielders recently too.

On my phone so can't edit but McDonnell went to Aldershot on an 18 month deal and scored on his debut https://www.getsurrey.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/no-reason-former-ipswich-town-14223464

A good Talk Up from Mick .
Comments are interesting there. They want players who can do a job immediately and scrap the youth team.
