No I think Rooney is just fat and amazingly ugly, which is what the picture is about. Nobody is denying his ability though. And while Carragher will be lining up in the Champions League Q\finals, Rio Ferdinand, Sol Campbell, Jonathan Woodgate and Ledley King will all be at home sitting on their arses. :p

By the same logic, Gary Neville and Roberto Carlos are as good as oneanother.

Rooney is in great shape but he needs to learn to shut his yap. Five years from now he'll be burnt out, just like Michael Owen.

Rooney just put in a great performance for United in the FA Cup away at Southampton. Great run for the 2nd United goal.

Southampton 0-4 Man U

Keane opened the scoring after 85 seconds. Ronaldo got the 2nd before 1/2 time and Scholes scored twice in the 2nd half.

If I were to say "Biffa Bacon", would that be a good likeness?! :D

Hows he burnt out? He should have plenty of energy, sure he's only sitting on the bench in Madrid! ;)

Troy, what I mean is, the guys career is clearly over and he's only in his mid twenties. Rooney will be down the same path if they play him 60 times a year for the first ten years of his career.

Guys like Paul McGrath and Roy Keane last alot longer than guys like Owen and Rooney because they don't get their body beat up from the age of 16 on.

the reason that Owen is no longer what he was is simple- the guy was never anything that special apart from his pace. If he had not had that pace in the first place, he would be nobody. He got injured, lost his pace and is living on his reputation- sad really. And to think Real wasted money on him

In fairness Eanna hasn't Owen got a great record in terms of goals: minutes played? not particularly bothered about him/Real really but I don't think he was a complete waste of, unnecessary maybe..

now that wayne roo is filthy rich, does anyone think he would get some plastic surgery done on his face? u know what these celebs are like and i am sure his chick would approve...

problem is, he can make himself more attractive with surgery, but if his children get his shrek genes, no escape" mummy, daddy, u are good-looking, why do i look like the green man from that old film shrek??"

owen is getting a raw deal at madrid. everytime he comes in, he grabs his chance only to find himself left out again. what more does he have to do to claim a place in the starting 11
