don't think there's an existing thread for Charsley, if there is, bump it and I'll merge them

Very unlucky not to score there. Super save from the goalkeeper.

Where was he playing? Livescore have him at left back. Thought he was an attacking midfielder.

Ya, he played out of position at left back. Did fine.

Would be very good if he could get a run of games before the end of the season as that's a high enough level to put himself in the reckoning - another one whose progress management should be monitoring closely

He seemed to break into our under 21 side without any first team appearances and I often wondered why he hadn't been nabbed for a loan. His first loan being to the Championship is a strong enough indication of him anyway.

Went straight into the starting line-up and played the first 55 minutes as Bolton lost to Brentford

Had a tough time transitioning from underage to senior football but now seems to be doing OK at Mansfield now, playing regularly and now starting to score goals. Got the winner against Forest Green today, his third in six games: https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/54850552

Former Everton Academy and Republic U-21 player Charsley (26) has left League 1 Port Vale for League 2 Newport County, linking up again with former manager Graham Coughlan (BBC Football).
