Interesting appointment at Drogs with Tim Clancy (ex-Rovers, Bray, Kilmarnock) their new manager. Only 33 https://twitter.com/DroghedaUnited/status/938087974780235776
Dave Robertson in as new Director of Football. Drogheda following Longford in straying away from the norm with a new, young manager and I think it will be good for them. A change from the managerial merry-go-round

Interesting. Does Clancy have any coaching/management experience, for example at junior or underage level?

Think Clancy is an underage coach, but I don't know if he has the required licences to manage in the LOI?
That might somewhat explain the requirement for a Director of Football but then Dave Robertson arising again from nowhere in that role at Drogheda is one of the most unpredictable appointments you will see

Clancy has an A licence which is the requirement for the FD as far as I know. If they got promoted he'd have to be enrolled on the Pro course.
Tim Clancy not off to a bad start has signed, Sean Brennan (midfielder) / Kevin Farragher (Centre Half) / Conor Kane (full back), still a few of the promotion team around e.g. Stephen Dunne (CH/LF); Luke Gallagher (CH/MID); Colm Deasy (RF); Jake Hyland (CM); Lloyd Buckley (CH); Richie Purdy (MID) you also have Sean Russell; Jack Bayly; Ryan McEvoy & Ryan Matserson all young players that appear to be unassigned, retaining some of them could benefit Drogheda Utd
