I have just been informed that tomorrow's scheduled friendly against Waterford has had to be cancelled due to circumstances beyond Cork City's control.

I've just been on the phone to Damien Richardson and he explained that Waterford had a game last night and picked up a number of injuries. As a result, Alan Reynolds told him that they can't fullfill tomorrow night's fixture.

The club tried to bring the Cobh game forward so the new manager could get a game under his belt asap but unfortunatly this wasn't possible and the game will now go ahead as planned on Thursday night in St. Colmans Park.

The announcement on the site has changed form "Everton FC" to "MSL side Everton". Id say a few thought the toffees were coming.

Can anyone guesstimate what the crowd was? It would be interesting to find out.

I would say about 300.

I say fair play to Everton for pulling together a team at short notice.

From the Waterford board they sound like they are in some trouble - playing badly and their new keeper is a bit of a Dudek....! :D

I reckon Reynolds is under a bit of pressure after pre-season performances to date.I was up at the KK game the other night and from what I saw there was no injuries sustained it seems like Reynolds didn't want to show his cards too early(with Longford winning 7-1 the same night to the team that beat us 2-1 in the RSC).There was more to the cancellation than meets the eye!!!!!!
