Anyone else think this is a bad idea given the violent history of the two clubs?

the ground share makes sense .... it is the violent history that doesn't

Stop the shít happening and there shouldn't be a problem. It probably will highlight it a bit more a pressure both the clubs to resolve it.

The league should bring in penalties for clubs that cant control their fans though .... the reputation of the league shouldn't suffer over two clubs or who ever is involved.

Already happened....old news.......a friend of a friend years ago, wanted to start KRAD........ He only lived 200m from Dalyer.....though Shams fans said they had a real problem going there......but mention their 'board'/Kilcoyne & they went off on one........... even d'Bohs.might feel sorry for them.

As long as the Inchicore rabble never come begging to the Gate.....as if? :o

Does anyone have any idea what that means?

It still hasn't been agreed, Rovers/FAI stalling over the underwriting of damage that will be caused by the scum!

Presuming everyone on here can read  & btw, what's so 'offensive' about 'Shams'.....even yer own fans use it,FFS! :p

No we don't....ever. It would be akin to Sinn Fein referring to themselves as Sinn Fein/IRA. Shams is a term made up by the "Irish" Sun. Only Sligo Rovers fans are allowed call us that....they have a special dispensation.

They just do it to annoy us! It's typical of a British based newspaper - 'oh, there's a team called Shamrock Rovers, let's just call them Shams'. **** that for a game of soldiers - 15 leagues and 24 Cups, we are Rovers!

Better than having Rovers play in Drogheda travelling by train with the "away" fans.

We're not paranoid. It's just that name is wrong. Cant make it any simpler than that. Does anybody call man ure mans?!

Cheers, You will always be SHAMS to us. I think we have called ye by that name long before the Oirsh Sun ever printed it. It's not meant as an insult of any sorts, to us we are Rovers and ye are Shams; simple!

the drogs moniker did indeed originate from the sun and has been adopted by the younger drogheda fans however when the club attempted to put uperdrogs on scarves a couple of seasons ago there were protests from the older generation who wud still use 'The Boynesiders'
