Whilst I think anyone should be allowed to basically say anything on here I would like to say that the constant references to gambling odds bothers me a great deal.it serves to legitimise a remorselessly destructive industry, particularly in its online form.the big gambling companies are up there with big tobacco and big alcohol, they are a cancer on society generally but particularly in sport.they have irretrievably taken over virtually all sport and commercialised it beyond recognition.apologies if a little negative on a Saturday morning but I felt it had to be said

I see it as just a bit of fun. I could easily say discussion of travel arrangement legitimise unnecessary travelling destroying the planet, however I actually do believe anyone should be able to say anything they like here, if you don't like, it don't read it and give others the same choice is the way I look at it. Hence I have never had a problem with what anyone has said on a forum ever.
Gambling is already legal anyway. Discussion of the odds here is merely an aside and is far better than being down the bookies on a fixed odds terminal, something which really is a problem, and if you are driving people down there you are not helping anyone. That is how I see it anyway, just harmless discussion.

Are there constant references to gambling odds? It's just loose talk in the spirit of who is going to win. I don't think its constant. I think those of us on here for a while appreciate Tricky's sense of humor about it. I would say going on Foot.ie to get odds or talk gambling would be like the 1,000,063rd website I would think of for that sort of thing! He must have maybe still been drunk from Fri night when he made that post. You can tell by the punctuation IMO.

I'm way up in my life personally. Hit a Super at the Kentucky Derby in 2003 and I bought a new car. Also got a picture with a testy John Elway.

And if Notre Dame beats USC tonight.....Anyway lets talk gambling on here from now on! I like it!
