Another Bomb last night!!
From the indo

THE FAI will today assess the security situation for Ireland's World Cup qualifier against Israel following an explosion which rocked Tel Aviv last night.

It was the second blast in the city in less than a week.

The football association said it will continue to liaise with the Department of Foreign Affairs and FIFA to gauge any risk.

As of last night, the March 26 match was still going ahead as planned.

"We will continue to monitor events", FAI chief John Delaney told the Irish Independent last night after the explosion in downtown Tel Aviv.

"It was apparently a criminal incident near an ice cream stand and our ambulance crews report one person was injured", an ambulance spokesman said.

A suicide bomb blast outside a Tel Aviv nightclub last Friday night killed five people.

It raised doubts over Ireland's plans to travel to the city for the Group 4 game.

Mr Delaney said that FAI officials will continue to keep tabs on the security situation in Tel Aviv ahead of the Under 21 and senior international matches.

These matches are to be held in the city on March 25 and 26.

The Ireland vs Israel match on Easter Saturday - the first between the two countries in 20 years - is expected to attract up to 2,500 travelling Irish supporters.

Those of us who are going are no more concerned now than we were when we booked our flights.
Newspapers have pages to fill so stories like this are not unusual.

If it was a beer stand, not an ice cream stand, then we might be concerned. ;)

First of all , your media is just lieing to you and that's very sad if Also in the newspaper's and also in the radio they didn't say it was DEFENTLY ( 1000% sure ) a criminal attack .
I'm just saying the truth and what really happen. I didnt "attack" you because I don't know you. In Israel it was clear from the first second it was a criminal attack thats why i found it rather shocking to see the posts that there was another bombing in Israel. Secondly , it wasn't a bomb . It was an granade ( It was criminal remmber )

Nothing against the both of you. Your media has a anti-Israeli propaganda if they feed you with false information

WOOOOAH! (Soprano voice!)

Does that mean you would attack him if you knew him?

All the papers and radio said was that there was another explosion in TelAviv last night, which was apparently the work of criminal gangs rather than being politically motivated. Where is the lie there? People are not scared and are looking forward to visiting your country. Chill out man.
But don't expect people not to be keeping an eye on the situation at the same time... that's not being anti-Israeli is it? I'm sure you do too, no?
Our mainstream media does not have an anti-Israeli bias.

"It wasn't a bomb, it was a grenade" !!!! :D I like it!

We won't be crying over the lost of the ice cream. hee hee.. If it was a beer stand, then we will be in mourning. Better yet “Hold the wake of the ice cream cart until we arrive”. We celebrate it’s passing into the next life. I’m sure the ice cream cart was an innocent in tragic circumstances. We badly need a good wake every now and then especially with a refreshing change of venue.

The Bonk get a life. You can start with a :). You’re doing more to dissuade us from going to Israel with your negativity :( , than any bomb ever will. You are achieving the complete opposite than your own government/city business are trying to achieve. Everyone who is going to Israel to support our team knows there is more than one side to any story. Reporters report the stories as they hear it. Any explosion in any form, no matter if it’s intentional or an accident is a cause for concern from a point of view of safety.

I’m going to Israel to support my Team and Country and with all the fashion that entails. Even if that include Peader wearing the flip flops from http://store.peppermintpalm.com/limgreenwitg.html
with stones in green, white and orange with nail polish to to suit. Kerr’s Tribe any other suggestions. You definitely got taste :D :D :D .

so what if its a criminal attack!??! there's not many grenades going off in Dublin i can tell you..
either way its concerning for fans and the paper's are 100 per cent spot on to report it...
im sure my mother, girlfriend etc would not see the difference if i was killed by a ****ing suicide bomber or a 'criminal' grenade.....

anti-Israel!!? lol - if only...

Leave the guy alone.
He's a 17 year old kid who has come on here to give advice and answer questions the the travelling supporters might have.
There are many people in the world who think that the troubles in Northern Ireland mean that the island is a warzone.
I'd be quick to correct them if I heard them express that opinion.
Stop picking on the kid.

Thanks,
P.

Your are trying to minmise the impact of a terrorist/criminal bomb/grenade". This is an act of terroisms too. Whoever it's and act from the local mob/criminal or rebel. It alway a cause for concern :( . I do appreaciate you help in answering a few questions as well from many others in this site. :)
Anyway, from an Irish point of view, the only ones losing out by not going to Israel is our National team!! They need our Support too. They play for their country with pride, after all they are going there to play. National Teams/fans in Sport are representative of the people not governments, terroists etc (and their agenda’s).
We the Fans/supports are ambassadors of our country. We are coming to show our goodwill and support to our team , and of course "Drink your country dry and upset the neighbours with our loud singing" and I'm looking forward to it. :)
I believe a ceasefire have been called by Peader. So he is buying the first round for all of us as a peace offering. :D :D

It seems shooting in the head are now been classified as accidents by our own media. The media are following the IRA line, just reclassify it to something less.

I take it you are being sarcastic? It was the gardai who said it was a tragic accident the media just reported it as such.

Investigating officers confirmed that the shooting was a "tragic accident".
