Kearney - coming home anyway

Fenn - Dolans signing. Good player, but has yet to really show his worth

Danny Murphy - He contacted City asking for a trial, he wasnt a 'find' of Dolans.

Dan Murray - I think he had more or less agreed to stay with City while Gunther was in Charge

Gamble - see Kearney

Doyler - Credit to Dolan. best ever City signing IMO.

my take on these players

kearney-when it looked as if he mightnt get a look in,nwanko got injured and kearney never looked back.forced his way into irish u-21s. made the postion his own. not bad for a player coming back anyway

fenn- bit unlucky to be dropped in a shake-up. immense for us in europe

Danny Murphy-might have contacted city but dolan didnt have to look at him or take him. only lost his place cos of suspension. not bad for a player looking fo a trial

Dan Murray--wont comment

Gamble-coming home anyway but had other options in EL. doaln showed him his best option was city. came in at the start of our amazing run

doyler-agreed

seems like all good signings to me

I'm 100% behind Lennox on this one. If I were to choose between 'buying a league title tomorrow and spending loads of cash' or 'this club still being in business in 5 years time' then I would have to choose the latter.

Although I have huge respect for Dolan and what he has done for the club (good run in europe, 2nd in the league) I disagree with those who are under the impression that he dragged us up from nowhere.

Dave Barry tried his best to win the league and after a few good seasons decided to give someone else a go.

Derek Mountfield fell out with the players

Colm Murphy

Liam Murphy - I thought did a decent enough job and like Dave Barry couldn't deliver the league and stepped aside.

In other words, Dolan didn't deliver anymore (except a good euro run) than Barry or Gunther and he shouldn't be talked up too much.

I don't think Gary was saying anything negative about these players but merely saying they 'may' have signed for CCFC regardless of who was in charge. Bar Doyle of course.

Bar Doyle of course.
question now is will doyler stay???

buddy of mine met him last night and to quote"i am not happy about dolan going"

also gamble on the paper again during the week stating he really hopes dolan is in charge this season

Still no trophies though. Look I'm not saying he is not better or worse than any of these managers. And maybe in time he 'might' have won trophies. But I'd have been a lot more upset if he won back to back league titles and got to the 3rd qualifying round of the CL. Imagine if you were a Shels fan and Fenlon got the sack in similar circumstances - then I'd be annoyed!

I'm in agreement with you there. Nobody wants to see these players leave and it is worrying. Also worrying is George and JOF, two other players who came out in the papers about the facilities and who are more than likely behind Dolan on this. The new manager will have to talk to all these players and convince them that staying with CCFC is the way to go. He will have to be a great man manager. I think Lennox should explain himself to the players as well. If he hasn't done so already.

I support Lennox on this one.
Haven't been sure about Dolan for months...too much chatter and talk for my liking.

I couldn't imagine it either. But if we were, their support would have doubled :D . I too think Dolan could have won the league with CCFC. But whats done is done. The new manager, whoever it will be, better deliver fast because I'm not too keen on hearing about another 3 year plan. I want a one year plan this season. The players are there.
