Good to hear a Supporters Trust s taking over Wexford.
It's a bit pricey at €20 a month for 10mths though. If it was cheaper you'd find fans of other clubs would be interested in joining to support the initiative (e.g. I would, but not at €200).
It's also not clear if that €200 is an annual fee or a one-off. They should really clarify that asap.
Good to see supporter ownership moving forwards in the LOI.

It's an annual subscription. Apart from bringing additional revenue, the change of ownership is seen as crucial to win over the local football community who never quite accepted the old regime. It is also hoped that the new sponsors will be happier to come on board

I believe a lot of advice and assistance came from the good people at FORAS

I think they charge €10 a month to join FORAS.
I really hope it works out for you, but the price point does feel high.

You could be right, there is a public meeting on 13th September to launch the Co-Op with a proposed 'go-live' date sometime in November. Perhaps there will be enough feedback by then to amend things
It is more important that the club goes in to fan ownership, than what level of revenue this brings in. The footballing public of Wexford understand what I mean by this

Fan ownership for a club like Wexford is definitely the way forward. €20 a month is a little bit steep though if you're trying to build up a new fanbase. Tenner would be plenty. It's all about building up the numbers at the start.

The target is to have 100 members. Like I said earlier, it is more important for the club that the people of Wexford are assured the ownership is now fan based, than the direct revenue this will generate. If we get 100 members X €20, that would be great, though I would prefer 200 members x €10
Delighted to see this. Am aware there was FORAS / Irish Supporter Network / SD Europe advice there on the process. Lots of hard work ahead but always positive to have supporters having a voice in their club.

Limerick Independent Football Trust is €10 a month.
It's going to be tough going and numbers could be low for a long time but id say stick with it.
More pressure on the Wexford Trust with it taking over the running of the club where as LIFT are just working away trying to build numbers in the background. It's tough going though.
