The eL seems to have the tag of a rabbble part-time pub players for years. Even when irish players were transferred to engalnd in the past & a tribunal was used it was an english tribunal that decided the price.
Barry Town are a fulltime team in the LOW but any average eL team would trash their welsh counterparts? Still Forde who only (no disrespect) played for Galway was only sold to a Premiership team for less than 100k punts.
Hopefully some consistent results in europe along with moves towards a fulltime league on & off the pitch may lead to more respect & some decent transfer fees in the region of 200k+ in the future. Selling players for 50k is no way to run a league in the long term.
The point is though £50,000 is a rare thing in itself....unfortunately its usually for free or for a pitance.....
