Hello!

We plan on having Issue 32 out for the Bray Wanderers game, the first home game of the season.

All articles, gags, chants, jokes, cartoons and letters are appreciated.
We really need more input from City fans in general to keep the zine going for another year. We have come a long way since starting in 2001, we never expeted to have flags, banners, drums, megaphones and numerous big displays under our belts! The longer we can keep the zine going, the more this will continue!

Send to the usual address: fanzine@fourfiveone.net.
Send your texts to 086-40-50-451 and check www.fourfiveone.net for other ways of contacting us.

We're in the middle of putting an order together for TIFO so if you have any ideas for displays during the season let us know asap. The Big Flags have been repaired and we are hoping to get another big banner for the back of the Shed - keep an eye on the NEWS section on fourfiveone.net for more.

We'll have 2 new T-Shirts out in about two weeks.

Cheers,
FFO

Best i've seen is one at the Brandywell, plastic top so probably light but big & noisey...

What's wrong with the two we bought that are currently used?
We also bought 3/4 of those other smaller ones but they were lost/swiped.

Cheers, but we bought 3/4 of them before and they were not used, and eventually they disappeared (swiped/lost).

There probably is but if I sent it with Royal Mail you'd be lucky if it go there in time for the 2006 season.
I might have a look in town on Saturday.
Hope the shops let me test drive them first. :D

the fact that one of them is damaged. and the fact that we could do with a third drum. thats all.

I think everyone should have a drum. ;)

Having checked them, I think both drums are fine. A small crack in one of them but it doesn't effect the sound. I think a third drum might be going a bit too far, you don't want to drown out the chants either like.

It worked fine when we had 3 before. I guess its a matter of opinion

People might just want to sing a bit louder, like.

Agreed

I'd see nothing wrong with 10 drummers to be honest.

except when you have some muppet that hasn't a clue how to keep a beat. or hits the drum every 3 seconds for no appearent reason.

a new drum is needed eventually IMO but after the first issue as there is major expendature in the pipeline already.

so there!

that is a problem, but we have at least 3 or 4 people who can drum reasonably well at this stage (I think I just about make it into that category :o )

The two drums Peadar linked to above are about $20 apiece, even with postage, you wouldn't be talking more than 50-60euro for one of them.

To be honest I think youself and Pablo are the only one who have a clue. We've all heard certain other peoples attempts at it and they have been quite poor to say the least!

I've heard Colm singing, so I'd like a second opinion on that...

Swear it all over again! ;)
