Think George made a mistake, didn't Barry Quinn get a senior cap? He didn't list him in the players that got one.

Even Ryan Casey looked good when he came on and took his spotter well.
God where did it all go wrong?

Anyone know what happened to our oriental irish goalkeeper? Alex O'Reilly, think he was with West Ham back then.

He was a trainee at West Ham then.

Played with Northampton and Wigan I think after that
and then went to a string of conference/non league clubs.

Alex O Reilly is with Dagenham and Redbridge now. I know a few have dropped off but still a high percentage have managed to make it.

Anyone got the full squad list from 1998 and what happened to them.
Obviusly we know about Keane, Dunne, McPhail, Alan Quinn, Barry Quinn, Gavin etc

Also was Duff eligible in 1998 ?
He played in Under-19 WC97 but I remember he was two years underage.

What ever happened to Ger Crossley ?
He was the new Liam Miller before there was a Liam Miller (i'm quoting).

Went from Celtic to Hamilton to Galway. Doubt he's even in football anymore.

From the German team I only recognise Hildebrand and Deisler. I must admit I can only name a handful of their Euro 2004 side though.

Hildebrand was rumoured to be going to Arsenal but has just signed a new contract at Stuttgart. Some say he's the best in Germany.

Ernst is now a regular in the Germany and Werder Bremen first team.

There are seven of that German team playing in the Bundesliga. Fair enough of the players named only 3 maybe well known but they are still full German internationals.

Hildebrand, Lechner, Ernst, Kehl, Schramm, Deisler, Timm

Of the Irish squad only Robbie Keane and Richard Dunne are playing in the Premiership.

Gary Doherty, Richie Partridge. :) Lets hope Partridge gets a move in the summer, time is running out. He'll play against United reserves tonight.

Which is a pity. The most naturally talented player in the squad along with Keane. One of the most unfortunate players ever. He just gets injured every time he looks like breaking into the Liverpool team.
