Neil McDonald is the new manager, on a deal that runs to the end of the 2019 season.
I know this has already been mentioned in the 'Russell is gone' thread but it probably makes more sense to start a new one. Maybe some of those posts could be copied and re-posted here instead?
anyway, I'm quite happy with it. He has a decent amount of experience, and at good levels. There is enough time for him to see what he needs to bring in before the transfer window opens too.

I too am pleased with this appointment. As said already, he's a pretty decent coaching cv. Hopefully the team will get a bump for tomorrow's game. A lot of players will be out to impress the new bloke. The good thing is he doesn't know any of the players personally so dropping someone won't be difficult for him. I did get the feeling recently that Willie didn't want to upset anyone by making tough calls player wise.

How was the Q&A session last night?
Anything interesting said, and what are the general impressions of McDonald?

Judging by a lot of the "questions" most of our fans reckon they could do the job.
He said he likes to keep the ball down and play ball but not over do it he wants to get into opposition half quickly and play in there. Said his assistant is currently in a job all agreed but he is trying to get out of hi current deal asap. Spoke about him thinking there is a lack of pace in the squad and age range of signings being between 20-30.
Thought he gave a good first impression tbh but then they all talk the talk at these things.
