Thought this might be worth a thread - just seen that Kluivert has scored for Ajax today. That's Justin Kluivert, Patrick's son.
There's plenty of other examples of course. Ethan Ampadu (born September 2000!!) has been getting his game for Exeter lately; he's the son of former Irish youth international Kwame Ampadu.
Andy Cole, Dave Beasant, Mark Hately, Martin Keown and Rob Lee all have sons playing in England or Scotland now.
Even at UCD, where we had Peter Hanrahan and Derek Swan up front when I started following the club, we now have Ben Hanrahan coming in to replace Ryan Swan.
Thought it might be worth a thread to keep track of any new next CM-regens coming through. :)
Edit - Nigel Hasselbaink, Jimmy Floyd's son, just scored against Feyernoord as well there. Another one for the list.

Spotted Hasselbaink earlier and meant to check if they're related but forgot. Feyenoord can hardly blow it, can they? At home to some mid-table team next weekend so they should be okay unless they totally choke.
Back on topic, I suppose Tom Ince is an obvious one and Zidane's son making strides at Real Madrid.
Justin Kluivert was one I found particularly unnerving though as I don't just remember his old man playing, but I remember him breaking through as a mere 18 year old himself, as I'm sure most others do given the high profile nature of his Champions League winning goal.
Zach Clough was a name I was curious about, especially given the fact that he's playing with Nottingham Forest of all teams at the moment. I thought he might be son of Nigel and grandson of Brian, but there's no connection that I can see.

Mark Kinsella's son Liam is in and out of the Walsall team and is a youth international for us even though born in England.
Also at Walsall, coincidentally, is Eoghan O'Connell who is son of the ex-Cork striker Damien.
I basically only know things about Walsall so quiz me on that.

On UCD, I learned in one of the papers at the weekend that Ireland u17s' Nathan Collins is the son of former Athlone (I think?) player Dave Collins, who is also Josh Collins' dad. I assume Josh will follow the well-worn path of UCD players and sign for Dundalk in a couple of years.

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain of Arsenal is son of former Stoke, Wednesday etc and England player, Mark Chamberlain. David Hirst's son, George, is knocking them in at underage level for the Owls. Watch this space.

Jonathan Klinsmann, Jürgen Klinsmann's son, was invited on trial by Everton a few weeks ago.
Contrary to his father, Jonathan Klinsmann is a goalkeeper.

Ali Dia's son plays for Saint-Quentin in France as it happens.
Surprised Kasper Schmeichel hasn't been named yet!! Not to mention our beloved Alec Bruce...
Isn't Gus Poyets son also plying his trade somewhere in the lower leagues?
Andy Cole...have sons playing in England or Scotland now.
on that note, wasn't Andrew Cole allegedly eligible for Ireland? Would that extend to his son?? May, of course, have just been bullsh!t!

Bebeto's son, Mattheus, who inspired the celebration below, has joined Sporting Lisbon - http://www.the42.ie/bebeto-son-sporting-lisbon-3391721-May2017/

There's also Giovanni (son of Diego) Simeone, Daley (son of Danny) Blind, and Jordan (son of Henrik) Larsson making their way in the football world.
A few other current/recent ones in the League of Ireland
Evan (son of Paul) Osam
Richie (son of, erm, Richie) Purdy
Kurtis (son of Paul) Byrne
Jake (son of Gavin) Dykes
In terms of making me feel old Anton Reilly whose recently moved from Dundalk to Warrenpoint Town up north is the son of Anto Reilly who was playing for Dundalk in the First Division until about 10 years ago.

Random spot, but Rudi Vata's son, Rocco, is with Celtic's academy (the U12s).
Rudi Vata was one of the first Albanians to play abroad (with Celtic). I think he played against us in 1993, back in the days when not all matches were televised. I remember listening on Radio 1 as Anton Rrakli gave them the lead, but Stan and Cas (I think?) eventually pulled the win out of the bag.
He was Aiden McGeady's agent for a while as well.

There was a weird reason for that not to be televised. It was meant to be shown but the Albanian broadcaster were asking for a hape of cash from RTÉ. I was distraught as I have gotten off early from school to watch it and had to make to do with crappy highlights later and the radio during! :(

Erling Haland - son of Alfie - looks like he's going to be a huge player.
9 goals in the U20 World Cup earlier this year against Honduras.
Scored a hat-trick on his CL debut tonight for Red Bull Salzburg; first player to do that since Rooney.
It's his fourth hat-trick of the season - he's scored 17 goals in the first 9 games of 2019/20, which is incredible stuff
And it all started with not scoring against UCD in the Youth League less than 2 years ago!

Serious career ahead of him surely, and he'll need someone like Conor Kearns to keep it all in focus at times :)

Linlithgow Rose 1-2 Falkirk in the Scottish Cup this evening.
Conor Sammon with two for Falkirk. Tommy Coyne with the reply for Rose. It's Tommy's son, who is their record scorer (or he was close to it two years ago anyway), with close on 300 goals for the club in 11 seasons.

Signed for Dortmund over the winter, after 28 goals in 22 games for Salzburg, including 8 in the CL group stages.
Came on as a sub for his debut today after 56 minutes, with them 3-1 down away to Augsburg.
Takes 181 seconds to score.
Adds another two inside 20 minutes.
Dortmund win 5-3.
Couldn't score against UCD U19s. :)

May need to change the thread title - Ian Wright's grandson, D'Margio Wright-Phillips, started for Stoke today in their win over Wigan.
He's Shaun's son - and I suppose technically not Ian's biological grandson (as Shaun was adopted), so maybe the title is ok. For now...

Yep - Reading defender Nesta Guinness-Walker is Sir Alec Guinness' great-grandson.
