What does Shelbourne and the other european cup playing teams
have to do now, to gain a euro licence so they can play in europe?

Don't think we've anything else left to do for a UEFA Licence, our ground was confirmed as up to UEFA standard and the other criteria are the same as the Premier Licence

I think UEFA does its own ground inspection to ensure that they're up to scratch.

Not sure if the clubs have to do any more on the legal/administrative side or is the Premier licence enough.

The FAI will do an inspection before the European nominations have to be made, then UEFA will do an inspection a few days before the game. The other criteria are exactly the same as the Premier Licence

Is this years European license effectively the same as last years Premier Division license, reflecting the weakening of the infrastructure requirements?

Delaney looks to improve licensing scheme

John Delaney, the interim Chief Executive Officer of the FAI, has revealed that representatives from all eircom League clubs will be summoned to a meeting in the near future to determine ways in which the Association’s Club Licensing scheme can be further enhanced ahead of 2006.

None of the eircom League clubs had achieved the required administrative standard on their initial application two weeks ago, but all of Ireland’s senior clubs won a permit on appeal.

I know that Shels floodlights aren't upto scratch so we will have to kick off slightly earlier to get full daylight in for the games, like last season, with the kick off times getting earlier as the games go on in Europe. If we make the third round again this will mean we'll have no chance but to move to Lansedown again, but for the first we're fine and second round, should we get to the second round ofc, we'll be fine once we kick off at around seven/half seven. Basically, same as last year.
