Waterford United completed their many transfer dealings for the season when they secured the services of former Saint Patrick's Athletic winger Padraig Drew yesterday.
The agreement was made possible when the Blues accepted an offer for the former Cork City winger, Dave Moore, who has not commanded a regular place in the team in recent months.
The arrival of Drew gives additional options on the left side for Waterford, where the objective in recent weeks has been to strengthen the midfield.
Following the arrival of Tony Smith last week, and the return of Noel Hunt from Shamrock Rovers, the competition for places has increased and so the club acceded to Dave Moore's request to be released before the transfer deadline expired.
Waterford United's next match is expected to be Sunday against Drogheda United, should the pitch at the RSC pass an inspection earlier that day.
