what robbie really needs is a good manager who will sit him down and talk to him about his career. he has to settle down and work hard. robbie really hasn't improved since he first burst on the scene. but i think celtic could be a bad move if it ever did happen...

the other thing is with Keane and Reid in the same club team hopefully they'll develop a decent understanding which they could carry on to the national team.

I hope Robbie can establish himself as a certain starter for Spurs. With 4 of them going for what looks like 2 places he's having his work cut out for this to happen. He should hang in and work hard and not head for the exits just because things aren't going his way.

Also, as said above, if Reid & Robbie can develop their understanding that'll be a big help for us.

However, if Robbie is ultimately marginalised at Spurs Celtic wouldn't be such a bad move. I think he's more likely to improve his finishing when he's used to scoring more regularly. His one-on-ones are poor and I reckon playing at Celtic could improve this part of his game.

I also wonder about these "morning reports" that eleven-a-side.com is referring to.

been linked with celtic for the last 3 years at least - must be a slow news day.

Honestly, I think robbie is vastly overrated. Simply just doesn't make enough correct decisions whilst in posession or score near enough goals. I also think this badge of 'scorer of great goals not a great goal scorer is also a bit of a myth - its not as if he scores that many of the former!

Obvioulsy he'd be a great addition to the Celtic team if/when Bellamy departs - I just don't/have never bought the hype around Keano.

Good that O'Neil is waiting to see what happens with Criag-I would really LVOE to see Robbie wearing the hoops but it would mean other strikers getting left out if we did keep Craig and go for Robbie-at the moment it's a juggling act with Hartson, Sutton, McGeady and Bellamy.....and the new bhoy hasn't even made his debut yet :D
What with Malloney and Pearson on their way back we're well in the good for bhoys the find the net and there's always Momo Sylla on the sideline :D

Getting champions league experience every year which he hasnt a hope of if he stays at Spurs.

If Keane went to the Celts ( which he won't) he'd easily be a 25+ goals a season striker. However theres a big difference in slamming 3 past the Dunfirmline keeper and 1 past the Chelsea goalkeeper. Celtic would be too easy, Spurs will keep him on his toes - if they keep him!

I'd love to see him at Celtic but Spurs are not far behind Liverpool and will still be buying in the summer. Don't count them out of Champions league football next season.

Sure Keane is only 24, he still has years left in him before he needs to consider retiring to the SPL.
He'd be better off dropping down to the Championship first.

ya i agree. moving to that league would definitely be a step down, champions league experience or not. u just have to look at celtic's champions league experience to see they're not even good enough. they qualify due to the massive gulf in their league.
robbie has to stay at spurs and settle down for once

I know your only trolling but there wasn't any shortage of offers for Larsson, Miller, Mjallby, Berkovic, Viduka, di Canio, van Hooijdonk, Cadete, Arteta, Boumsong, Amoruso, McCann, Ferguson, Tugay, van Bronckhorst, Reyna, Negri, Niemi, Gattuso... Unless you have no faith in Robbie's ability...

Should have said but what I meant was that there was no shortage of offers from other clubs for that list of players when they were playing in Scotland.

He's not, he's outside the three team league in a sub league which challenges for 4th spot. Just ask PaddyPower.com (http://www.paddypower.com/bet?action=show_type_by_main_market&selectvcgrp=20825&category=SOCCER) ;)

Of course, much better off playing the likes of Coventry and Notts Forest as apposed to Rangers, Barcelona or AC Milan.

Not to big in the brains department are ye Peader?

I think Robbie has to stay at Spurs. They are a club that looks like its going places. Martin Jol is a great manager and is somone who can help develop Robbie. Also he likes to play with wingers so from an Ireland perspective its great experience for Robbie (and Ried). Hopefully Robbie will get used to 4-3-3.

there is enough uphevial at spurs for Robbie. A new club is too much. maybe in another 2-3 seasons.
