Won't bother with this. Hope to make Serbia but with it being midweek I can't be too sure. There won't be any hassle with tickets for Moldova and we might not even have a playoff.

I managed to bag the last student ticket. Managed to sleep in today and miss the 11am go live. Stoopid NHL!!!
I wouldn't have bothered if I couldn't get the student ticket. But I'll be able to renew that next year anyway which makes life handy. Plus I'm conscious of getting a proper FAI record so I can get sorted for Euro2020. Playing the long game here.

Good thinking. Hopefully the long game doesn't need to be quite so long. I know a couple of guys who got sorted for Euro 2016 tickets having purchased the previous year's FAI season ticket. They had an FAI number so that's all that mattered it seemed. I'll see what the package is like for the start of our Euro 2020 campaign, that might be a good a good time to swoop for one.

First one full stop. I've been a student since it launched and never managed to get one of them at all. But the long game is now being played for Euro 2020.

My game isn't as long. Wales away and a potential playoff.

I'd never have pegged you as a student, you don't come across as a commie d!ck at all!

I'm glad I got a ST now.
Got a Wales away ticket but couldn't travel and ended up giving it to my cousin. Guaranteed home playoff and probably get a ticket for the away leg now too.

A season ticket would hardly have guaranteed you a ticket for Cardiff, would it?

A ST for two years and three aways was (over the past four years), roughly, the criteria.

I get the majority of my tickets through a local fella. Probably killing myself really overall when it comes to loyalty benefits. Not that I'm brilliant for the away games, usually one a campaign, might try to up that a bit and definitely consider the ST next time.

You certainly are. For the majority of away matches, tickets aren't an issue. Get your own account and buy them yourself, then buy your home tickets/ST through it as well.

does anyone know if there are going to be more home friendlies in 2018 - the ST was a 5 match package and we've had 3.. with Turkey and France I fail to see how they can squash in more games...

So apparently the game against the north (Nov15) will be included in this seasons ST, but the Nations League games a month earlier will be in a new ST.
Figure that one out!!

It makes no sense on the face of it. But I can see the logic. And it's the easiest way to deal with it as 2017/18 ST holders are due another 2 games. The Nations League will bring it's own set of complications and demands, so it's best to start that one afresh, especially when there are Euro 2020 qualifiers to take in as well in 2018/19.

Will the new ST include the friendly against the north?
I won't be renewing, so I presume they will sale my seat to someone else for the NL games.
What happens if we both show up for the friendly against the north? Granted the stadium will probably be half empty but that's not the point.

I am so excited that my Irish season ticket gives me first option on a ticket for a pre-season friendly between Liverpool reserves and Napoli reserves at the Aviva. Be still my beating heart.
