Ireland China/Italy tickets

Is this the first games that you have to buy ticket in a package or has there been another?

how are tickets done? do you get 2 seperate tickets or is it one ticket with 2 stubs on it?

i wont be around for italy so id like to sell the ticket and want to know if its possible

Brazil/Czech/Romania last year was a 3 game package. It will be separate tickets so you can flog the Italy one. Shouldnt have much trouble getting a taker for it either.

I wouldn't be suprised if you get them the day after kick. It honestly is that hard to predict. :)

dont think the stubs will help to be honest, the FAI website is showing the game as sold out, but says any tickets that are returned by the french fa will be sold one to two weeks before the game.

People don't have their tickets for the France game yet, they're sold on a block-booking basis, i.e. people who have a block-booking get a ticket for every game a couple of weeks before the match. That's why there aren't any tickets available.

how do you get on the block booking list?????

you have to write to the FAI and get an application form, then you join the waiting list (currently at about 1000 people AFAIK). Given time (and hopefully given increased Landsdowne capacity) youll get on the block bookers list

Then again if you supported Irish football you'd have no problem getting tickets.

go to several EL games every year, either up here in dublin or in cork and have little luck with tickets for the big games.

If you look hard enough you will get them... I always manage to sort myself out with tickets... On the block booking scheme now.. Try your local footie club see if they have given away their allocation of block booking tickets yet

Then ask around. every EL club has an allocation under new initiatives. most of the north terrace on match days is EL fans

Make yourself known at your local club eg Bray.

Most clubs do have tickets even for games like France - ask for China tickets first though.

Go to a few away games. Just be seen supporting the club. I've a friend who follows Monaghan - always pretty incognito never made himself known to anyone there and not from the town, was in Turners Cross for a cup replay and the chairman still recognized him, came up shook his hand and thanked him for travelling. Message is if you go to games you'd be surprised how many people notice you even if you don't know them.

always worth trying the night before the game too - amazing how many tickets are held back and available at the last minute.

Bray probably get more tickets for Ireland games than they have season ticket holders (certainly when Eddie Cox was at FAI).

We have to assume it's standing because there is no competitive fixture around the same time and therefore no need to install temporary seating.

They seem to be still on sale to me.
Just out of interest, why is it so important? if you have your tickets already, I wouldn't imagine it matters that much.

I'm looking for a pair of tickets to the Ireland vs. France match in September, if you don't have a pair then one will do. How much should I expect to be paying?

Been on it two years. How long were you on it Dynamo? This should be the last set of qualifiers the people on the waiting list will miss out on as I'm assuming Landsdowne will be gone for the 2008 Qualifiers and we'll either be playing in Croker or the UK and in either case it should be much easier to get tickets.

Another thing, was just wondering if the games were moved to the UK, does this still mean that the present blook bookers will have to buy their quota or lose their place on the scheme? I'm jealous of the block bookers but that would unfair on them.
