Connor and McNamara on Ocean FM this evening

Sean Connor has unveiled Michael McNamara as the new club captain. The duo will be interviewed this evening (Fri 11 Feb) on Ocean FM at 7.20 pm.

Listened to interviews and both men came across very well. Pascal Mooney, the shows presenter, is himself a great Rovers supporter and he asked the questions any supporter given the opportunity would ask. I felt a great buzz while listening to Sean Connor speak, it reminded me of the Willie McStay era when supporters hung onto every word spoken by the great scot. Connor once again said the onus is on the club's supporters to have a team capable of pushing for promotion this coming season. He's talking to players which he feels will do the job for us and he's confident that they will come and play for Rovers.

Yea, he's very close to signing a couple of players. He's off to England on Friday next to tie-up a few loose ends. He's very optimistic that he will complete the deals.
