i thought a B license (premier division license) could only be awarded
to a premier division team? could be mistaken (i usually am)

My understanding is that it's the First Div license.

I think everyone's a bit confused on the whole lettering situation !

Longford are struggling to get a Premier licence. Rulebook says they go down. Does someone from the existing first division with a Premier licence automatically go up in their place?

No, this cant happen because as far as i know the FAI have said that no first division team can actually receive a Premier Licence :confused:

well its an eircom league forum over all so theres nothing to stop them posting here if they want conversely if we wanted to annoy them theres no reason why we cant post on their forum!
