Athlone Application(s)

has anyone heard anything from Athlone? I heard they have two licence applications gone in to the FAI, 1 from the fans and 1 from the board.

The only club I've seen nothing on.

Only one application can be put in by a club. If one fails then it opens the option of another application.

I am not involved with the club anymore so don't know how the clubs application is going. I just know the rules from 7 years or so as the clubs licensing officer.

Have the fans group set up a company / co-operative to make an application?

Is there still a chance we might have no athlone team next season? Not a good pre season so far with the news from Wexford too.

No doubt things will get sorted but imagine a sceneries where it didnt. So for 2018 the new sceneries two divis ions of 9....with 4 relegated from premier this year
... 4 qualified for europe and 4 fightING to make it to Europe and or avoid relegation.....we could conceivably have someone potentially being relegated or qualifying for europe on the last day...... : )
