This Boards thread seems to suggest that public transport to the AUL complex is difficult. Your best bet might be to get to one of the adjacent shopping centres such as Omnipark, Northside, Clarehall, Artaine Castle, etc. and take a taxi from there.

Aye, it's a bit off the beaten track of the main roads which is a pain in the backside if you're not driving. You could get any of the airport heading buses (33, 41, 41 a/b/c) from Abbey street or the 16 from O'Connell street to Santry or the Airport; 27b to Clonshaugh; 14 to Ardlea road in Beaumont, 27 from Busaras/ opposite Connolly Station to Clarehall. All of them leave you about 3-4 Km from the AUL so it's going to be a joer from there and back to the bus after either way unfortunately unless you fancy the stroll!

Some of the players or staff might give you a lift and get you closer to town after the game Marty.

There's a Supermacs at the garage up the road alright these days, next to that you'll be heading to the airport or up to Northside SC. Not sure on hedging as it's been years since I was in the AUL but I vaguely remember there is some coverage, best go prepared anyway though!

I got a taxi out from city centre which cost 18e which I thought was reasonable considering the distance and got a lift back afterwards into town. What shocked me with the AUL is the isolation of it- no lighting on the road outside it and no footpath. The road is so narrow also. The road is also busy with traffic. You wouldnt want to walk out to it or cycle to it if you were living locally thats for sure!
