My idea on who the teams to go through to the semis are as follows:

Wayside Celtic v Bangor Celtic (Wayside)
Glenmore Dundrum or Mount Merrion YMCA v Belgrove (Belgrove)
Moyle Park PPFC or Lissadell Utd v Douglas Hall (Moyler)
Rockmount v Avondale Utd (Avondale)

I know a fair bit about the LSL but am not too hot on the cork teams although i have seen and played against rockmount in the past. From what i hear, Avondale are the top team in cork at the moment though.

Not too hot on the Cork teams, you're having a laugh.........rockmount won the intermediate cup last year, nearly beat Waterford in the FAI cup, I beg your pardon, should have beat Waterford in the FAI cup only for two goals been disallowed when................Rockmount got to the semi's against Belgrove in the Intermediate cup the year before........Avondale are a great side too but when Rockmount want something they usually get it, no questions asked, Rockmount will beat Avondale, I'm real positive on that one!!

Huge shock Lisadell beating Moyle Park, 4th division LSL knocking out 1st Div. Lisadell also knocked out Drumcondra. They are a very very young team with the exception of the keeper. Two centre forwards are very hot. Wonder how long they will play for Lisadell before bigger clubs come looking for them.

would fancy douglas hall to reach the semi's at the expense of lisadell.the hall are building a solid side and while they are struggling in the msl ,they will be very hard to beat in the cup.with quality player,s like dave moore and brendan sweeney ex corkcity/cobh in the middle ,garret o donovan (ex cobh rams) at the back and chris (rasher) o shea (ex cobh ram) up front they should have the edge over lisadell.
would be nice to see the hall win thru and meet rockmount/avondale in an all cork final.

You may like to dream of an all cork final but it just wont happen this year as one of the dublin sides will definitely be there. I would put my money on either wayside or belgrove getting there, maybe both of them if they can avoid each other.

In saying that Rockmount have been very hard to beat over the last few years in the Intermediate cup and they will cause every team problems.

Please don't anyone rule out Avondale.
If they beat Rockmount which they really should have at the weekend then they will more than likely win the Cup.
I don't believe in this whole Rockmount are a Cup team rubbish, you should be trying to win every competition you enter, end of story.

Another shock I believe yesterday
Mount Merrion YMCA 2-1 Glenmore Dundrum

Not quite as much of a shock as you might think. Glenmore are but a shadow of the team they were a couple of seasons ago while Mount Merrion are full of ex-Eircom league players, as point out on this board before. However 2 teams from the 4th Division of the LSL in the quarter finals of the Intermediate Cup is certainly unusual.

Yes they are getting paid as good as most Eircom First Division players, but less travelling involved. They used to say it was a lot harder to get out of the EL than get into it.
