There was a great piece about this on Newstalk I think last week, or one of the papers, where they referenced the rivalries of this fixture, and how the USSF deliberately made losses on the gate in order to gain an advantage elsewhere

The fixture was usually played in Pasadena, where there would no many Mexicali supporters and little fervour from the Americali's. They deliberately moved it to Columbus because of their soccer specific stadium and ultras but also because when these games are scheduled the conditions in Ohio are particularly inhospitable compared to Cali. The last 4 games were all 2-0 US victories.

I saw a good bit of last nights game and Mexico could have won by 4 or 5. They were superb.

You could say most users of the site are Mexicans...

Except Gather Round anyway...
